Japanese Motion Graphics

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Japan for the first time.
It was a completely different environment of what I'm used to. The people is very kind, the food is very fresh and healthy, and the design can wither be very busy or very fine and clean.
I really got inspired by their culture and as I was doing some research for the blog, I found this motion piece from a Tokyo company.
The piece is called Tenspace  and it combines the numbers one to ten with images derived from ikebana – the Japanese art of flower arranging. A motion graphics installation featuring plants and typography.

DUMBO

I am new to New York. This is a great project for me to explore a neighborhood in New York. I feel a strong interest for performing arts. Doing some research, I found that DUMBO, acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, is one of the homes for new and emerging performing arts. I will be promoting DUMBO from this artistic perspective.
I visited the neighborhood and got fascinated by the artistic feel combined with the industrial scenery. I took pictures of the building and the art I could find. There is an art festival coming in September, so it will be a perfect chance to take more pictures.
